First, select a well traveled area leading from the bedding area to the main destination food source. Dig a circle that is approximately 36". Remove the sod and expose the soil. Loosen the soil 6" to 8" deep. Pour approximately 25 lbs. of mineral on the prepared area, then mix the mineral thoroughly into the loose soil. For best results, it is recommended to install the mineral lick in early spring and then refresh monthly with 5 to 10 lbs of mineral. Repeat this sequence during the spring and summer months.
